Philomath is derived from two Greek words; “philos” and “math”. “Philos” means “love” and “math” means “learning”. The combined word "Philomath" means love for learning.
Philomath University is, therefore, envisioned to stimulate students with deep appetite and hunger to learn seamlessly, while achieving excellence and top-class performance.
Philomath University is driven by passion for education with excellence and unbridled zeal to cause scientific, technological and industrial revolution uniquely in the world, and development in Africa, especially in Nigeria. Philomath University is jump-starting its program with three faculties, namely: the Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law.
